Whether laser pointers are safely use dogs to train or play? Some dogs have developed serious behaviour "obsessive-compulsive" (known as "stereotypie") when permitted to chase dot from laserpointer, others do not develop these behaviors. How can we know if our dog is at risk of developing stereotypie when exposed to laser pointer, and dangerous to our dog eyes?

Certain breeds appear to have a greater tendency to develop abnormal behavior when exposed to laser pointer, but these are also popular as service dogs and many are trained to "target" dot laser in their work without developing unusual behaviour. So while some people say that certain breeds not with laser, which does not mean that your special dog that breed draw stereotypie. Conversely does not mean that just because you don't have a dog of one of these breeds your dog is safe, either.

Some symptoms that may be developing a stereotype are:

-pawing or scratching his area/s where dot recently was seen by more than 1 minute after he dot

-the patrol area/s where dot recently seen more than 1 minute early

-repeatedly returning to area/s where dot because other than observed not to chase dot again

-develop strong chasing behaviour for other sources of light and shadows

If your dog shows any of these signs, then it is time to stop using the laser pointer, as your dog is at risk of developing serious behavioral problem. If using a laser pointer, it is important that all training objectives should consult experienced animal behaviorist.

Strongly recommended not to use laser pointer to play games with your dog. Almost any dog will enjoy chasing dot laser, but you should not risk. There are more games to play and dogs who are chasing dots laser will probably be just as happy to chase a ball or play tug.

If you are training your dog to ' objective ' dot laser, then approach training in order to minimise chasing behavior slowly introduce movement and be aware that you are teaching your dog ' target ' using some specific behaviour that have been defined and trained. indications that the risk of developing the stereotype is minimized when training is achieved in this way.

Treatment of weight gain or chasing should be carried out in the guidelines veterinary behaviorist. Medicines are available that can Do not in effect any circumstances attempt to punish weight gain light or shadow chasing.

Light by laser pointer functionality is it safe for eye dog?Generally light emitted from laser pointer functionality is very weak and will probably be the only cause temporary blinding if pointed directly to the eye dog by accident. Prolonged or repeated exposure could be harmful and should be avoided.
